Freelance Tracker is designed as a private tool for freelancers. Your data belongs to you. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or business data with any third-party marketing, advertising, or data brokering services.

2. Information We Collect

To provide our services, we collect the following types of information when you sign in and use the app:

• Account Information: When you sign in via Google, we collect your name and email address to authenticate you and sync your data securely.
• Business Data: Any data you actively input into the app, such as your client list (names, hourly rates, contact info), logged work hours, generated invoices, and personal profile settings (address, terms, tax rates).
• Gmail Access: When you choose to send an invoice via Gmail, we request the gmail.send permission. This allows the app to send a single email on your behalf with the invoice PDF attached. We do not read, store, access, index, or retain any of your existing Gmail messages, inbox data, or email history at any time.

3. How We Use Your Information

The information we collect is used strictly for the following functional purposes:

• To provide the core functionality of Freelance Tracker — creating logs, managing clients, and generating invoices.
• To securely persist and synchronize your data across your devices using your specific account ID.
• To populate the invoices you generate.
• To send invoice emails with PDF attachments to your clients via Gmail, only when you explicitly trigger the Send action.

4. Third-Party Services (Backend Infrastructure)

We use the following Google services as backend infrastructure:

• Google Firebase (Authentication and Firestore) — used to authenticate users and securely store business data. Firebase acts under strict data processing agreements.
• Gmail API — used solely to send invoice emails on your behalf when you explicitly click "Send via Gmail". The gmail.send scope is the only Gmail permission requested. No email content is read, stored, or shared with any party.

We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or data brokering services.

5. Google API Services — Limited Use Disclosure

Specifically, data received via the Gmail API is used only to send the outbound invoice email triggered by the user. It is not used for any other purpose, not transferred to any third party, and not used for advertising or to train machine learning models.

6. Data Security

All Firebase and Gmail API communications are encrypted over HTTPS. Your data is scoped privately to your unique Google user ID — no other users have access to your clients, logs, or invoices. Gmail send permissions are scoped to outbound sending only and do not grant any read access to your mailbox.

7. Data Deletion and Control

You have full control over your data. You may delete individual client records, time logs, and invoices directly from the application interface at any time. Erased data is removed from our database. You can revoke Gmail access at any time from your Google Account permissions page.

8. Consent

By signing in and using Freelance Tracker, you consent to the collection and use of your information as outlined in this Privacy Policy. Gmail send permission is requested separately and only when you choose to use the email feature. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the service.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised date.
